The Louvre museum in Paris is exhibiting “Saint Anne, Leonardo da Vinci ‘s ultimate masterpiece“. This incredible piece took over 18 years to create. It was left incomplete following Leonardo da Vinci ‘s death in 1519.

To the heart of Leonardo da Vinci ‘s master work
The Virgin and Child with Saint Anne will be exhibited in the pyramid at the Louvre. Several documents, drawings and sketches give visitors a better understanding of the painting and its exceptional features.

The Louvre’s exhibition will take visitors to the heart of the Italian master’s work and thought process.
The painting was restored by the Centre for Research and Restoration of the Museums of France. This breakthrough piece is on display for the first time in a preparatory cartoon on loan from London’s National Gallery.
